Moderation - General

The quality of all blogs participating in the network is of utmost importance.

No one wants to have to link to a spammy blog, or one that is not acceptable to a “General” audience. Therefore we’ve introduced what we feel is the best means of moderation - and that is self moderation by all partners.

To be accepted into the network, a new blog must first be reviewed by 5 other totally unique (and totally independent) established partners.

Out of those 5 network partners, at least 3 of them must find the new blog acceptable based on their interpretation of network “Quality Control Guidelines“. That’s a minimum 60% approval rating.

The reason we have this ratio in place (which we can also increase if necessary - to further improve quality) is because we realize that everyone’s idea of what constitutes a “quality blog” is going to be very subjective.

It will depend entirely on their own interpretation of the guidelines, where on some points there might be room to interpret them based on their own opinion which could differ from others.

Having the ratio in place ensures that if a few blogs that certain members don’t find acceptable, are indeed accepted, they are accepted at a level where at least 60% of all network partners, as a whole, feel is acceptable.

As a result, the quality and standard of the network will never drop below what the majority of members find acceptable at any given point in time.

Further, we realize that this overall acceptable standard might change overtime - either due to partner demand and/or “Managements” decision to update the “Quality Control Guidelines” to improve network quality.

More importantly it’s possible that the quality of individual blogs in the network might change in the future, to what would no longer be considered acceptable by the majority, at the time of their first review.

To take these factors into account, we periodically ensure that all “established partners” blogs be reviewed multiple times in the future, to ensure all blogs are always up to the “General Acceptable Standard”. If they fall below this standard they are scrubbed from the network.

This moderation process keeps any riffraff out and ensures that standard of partners is always up to par.
